Reviews of scotch and world whiskies by a history professor, his wife, bird, and three cats.
I am conflicted on this bottle— on the one hand it had some wonderful notes, good structure, and a nice finish, so it was a good bottle. On the other hand, the flavor profile is not as clean and well defined as the CC:01 or MRC:01 and the other limited releases from Port Charlotte.
Simple and delicious. This Invergordon did not have a ton of complexity or depth to its flavor profile, but what it did have was good. The milky profile was quite unique and made this really easy to sit back and sip. This would be an ideal easy sipper for the end of the a long day— there are some pleasantly interesting notes, but nothing agressive and nothing that demands attention to understand.
